The Role We are currently looking for a Key Account Manager to maximize sales volume and gross margin across all product lines. If you're passionate about building strong relationships with high-value clients, executing sales strategies, and enhancing the brand's reputation within the territory which is primarily, but not limited to, France and the UK, we'd love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular meetings with customers to understand their needs and align them with product offerings.
- Maintain direct relationships with key customer contacts and negotiate deals directly, ensuring win-win situations with our distributor.
- Collaborate with the technical team and internal stakeholders to create multiple touchpoints with clients.
- Work closely with our established distributors in France and the UK to further develop our best route to market for all cosmetic product families.
- Maintain quarterly business reviews with distributors to ensure that business plans and expectations are being met.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive territory coverage plan to efficiently manage all accounts and prospects.
- Establish a list of customer targets including product, volume, and price to ensure commercial success, with regular updates in monthly reports.
- Maintain updated databases in Salesforce.com, including growth opportunities, call reports, and competitive information.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of key accounts and establish strong relationships with decision-makers.
- Forecast sales and prepare an annual sales budget for products within the territory.
- Participate in exhibitions to promote the company's products and services.
- Provide monthly activity reports to management, including competitive analysis and market trends.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures while seeking innovative ways to improve customer service.
- Identify unmet needs in the industry and translate them to Product and Technical Management or the Innovation team.
- Identify business growth opportunities within the cosmetic and personal care area, including regional growth opportunities, new prospects, new projects at existing customers, and new applications within cosmetics and personal care.
- Be involved in developmental and innovation projects at the customer level to gather direct information and drive the decision-making process.
- Understand competitors, their strategies, capacity, and routes to market.
Qualifications / Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Proven sales experience within the cosmetic and personal care market.
- Fluent in English and French.
- Strong project management, negotiation, and analytical skills; excellent communication abilities.
- Results-driven, customer-focused, collaborative, and a strong understanding of market dynamics.
- Willingness to travel approximately 3-5 days per week when needed, including occasional international travel.
- Familiar with cosmetic and personal care applications/ingredients; knowledge of the French market is an asset.
- Proactive, solution-oriented, dynamic, motivated, with an aggressive market approach.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
