About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to take ownership of maintaining our electrical equipment and systems at our Yate site, ensuring they operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. As a key member of the maintenance team, you will manage the CMMS schedule, complete planned and reactive maintenance tasks, and provide technical expertise to keep our operations running smoothly. This role plays a vital part in supporting manufacturing performance, contractor control, and continuous improvement across the site. The hours of work are 8am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance & Technical Expertise
- Maintain all site electrical equipment and systems to ensure optimum performance.
- Complete planned and reactive maintenance tasks safely, accurately and on time.
- Monitor equipment condition, reporting abnormalities, inefficiencies, or risks.
- Identify, source, and request parts for approval and procurement.
- SAP & Record Management
- Issue and update work orders and PPM tasks within SAP.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are documented accurately, including parts used, time spent, and outstanding issues.
- Contractor & Permit Control
- Prepare and issue high-risk permits (e.g., Permit to Work).
- Deliver site inductions for all contractors and monitor compliance with site safety standards.
- Ensure adherence to SunCare procedures, including lock-off processes.
- Safety & Compliance
- Uphold the highest safety standards for yourself and others.
- Follow all relevant procedures and promote procedural compliance across the site.
- Use only trained and approved tools and equipment, always ensuring correct guarding.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- Level 3 Electrical qualification (e.g., City & Guilds) or strong relevant technical experience.
- Recognised apprenticeship in Mechanical/Electrical Maintenance (NVQ, BTEC, etc.).
- Experience in equipment maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Competent using Microsoft Office and SAP systems.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Desirable:
- ONC or equivalent technical certificate.
- IEE 18th Edition (Electrical).
- COMPEX (for ATEX-regulated sites).
