About the role

Joining Aura Global means becoming part of a creative team that genuinely enjoys making great work together.

We challenge ideas, support each other and believe the strongest creative thinking comes from open conversation, not big egos.

Working closely with the Creative Director and Design Directors, you'll help shape creative thinking across a wide range of retail categories and branded projects.

You'll have the opportunity to develop ideas from first thoughts through to finished design, balancing creativity with commercial understanding.

You'll bring a strong understanding of brands, shoppers and the retail landscape, knowing when to push an idea, when to simplify it and when to adapt your thinking to suit the brand, retailer or category.

  • Taking ideas from initial concept through to finished design and execution.
  • Making strong creative judgements while balancing the needs of the brand, retailer and consumer.
  • Working closely with Client Services and specialist teams across photography, artwork and production.
  • Protecting the creative idea and maintaining a sharp eye for detail throughout the design process.
  • Working alongside photographers and stylists to art direct food photography and create strong appetite appeal.
  • Presenting creative work confidently and explaining your thinking to colleagues and clients.
  • Supporting junior designers, sharing knowledge and helping them develop their skills.
  • Contributing ideas around AI workflows and how AI can add value to the creative process.
  • Using Adobe Creative Cloud, including Adobe Firefly, as part of your everyday creative workflow.
  • What you'll bring
  • At least 7 years' experience within an FMCG packaging agency.
  • A portfolio demonstrating original thinking from concept through to finished design.
  • Experience working across both brands and retailer-owned brands.
  • A strong understanding of UK and US retail markets.
  • Creative curiosity, commercial awareness and a genuine passion for packaging.
  • A strong understanding of trends, typography, hierarchy, retail and brand category norms, print and production.
  • Experience creating, evolving and applying brand guidelines across products, categories and retail environments.
  • The ability to develop an idea from concept through to final execution, with strong creative judgement throughout.
  • Experience art directing food photography.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence presenting creative thinking.
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to share knowledge with others.
  • Ownership, accountability and a commitment to raising the standard of work around you.
  • Confidence using Adobe Creative Cloud, including Adobe Firefly.
  • Experience using collaborative platforms such as Miro is desirable.
  • How we work

We believe some of the best creative thinking happens when we're together, and some needs space to focus.

This is a hybrid role, combining time in our Bradford studio with the flexibility to work from home.

You'll need to be comfortable making the commute into the studio as a regular part of your working week.

Why Aura Global?

This is an opportunity to join a growing creative team, work on packaging for leading retailers and consumer brands, and continue developing your creative career alongside experienced designers.
