Sun and Moon after school club are looking for a play worker with childcare level 2/3 or equivalent qualification. Must be well-organised, enthusiastic, and flexible with good communication skills.
Hours of work term time only:
- Breakfast club: Monday to Friday, 7.15 am – 9 am
- After school club: 2.30 pm – 6 pm (days to be arranged)
Main duties include:
- Be a role model for the children
- Assist with planning, preparing and delivering quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment.
- Being responsible for a key group of children
- Providing comprehensive care for the children including collecting them from school.
- Setting up the play space including moving furniture and play equipment.
- Providing refreshments and ensuring that hygiene, health & safety standards are met.
- Administering first aid when necessary.
- Consulting with children and involving them in planning activities.
- Helping with club administration, where necessary.
- Undertaking appropriate and relevant training
- Keeping the work environment healthy, safe and secure.
- Working within the framework of the club’s policies and procedures.
