Role Summary As the Group Social Media Manager at Sumwon Studios, you will lead the development and execution of social media strategies across our dynamic portfolio of fashion brands, while managing a team of social media professionals. With a focus on innovation and disruption, you’ll create bold, attention-grabbing content, cultivate highly engaged communities, and drive both brand awareness and loyalty. This pivotal, creative role sits at the intersection of marketing, content, and culture—playing a key part in shaping the voice and growth of an incredibly fast-moving, forward-thinking business. While Instagram remains a core platform for brand storytelling and community building, TikTok is a major growth priority. You’ll be responsible for building and scaling our TikTok presence, including the development of content strategies that support TikTok Shop and social commerce. This is a hands-on role for someone who understands how social content builds brand and drives demand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement social media strategies for each brand under Sumwon Studios, aligned with their brand identity, target audience, and the wider business objectives.
  • Own and execute social media strategy across Instagram and TikTok for womenswear brands.
  • Lead the growth of TikTok accounts, building presence, consistency, and performance over time.
  • Support the development and execution of TikTok Shop content in partnership with e-commerce and growth teams.
  • Lead and manage a team, supporting their professional development and delivery of key objectives (OKRs).
  • Collaborate with and brief the Social & Content team to create and curate high-quality, on-brand content that aligns with product messaging, including assets tailored for paid advertising campaigns.
  • Drive the growth of channels across multiple brands, ensuring alignment with defined performance targets.
  • Manage and grow emerging incubator brands directly with the ability to shape content and lead by example of what good looks like.
  • Champion a forward-thinking and disruptive content strategy across brands, staying attuned to emerging trends, algorithm updates, and industry best practices.
  • Use data to inform content decisions — track performance, optimise content, and report on KPIs on a weekly and monthly basis across brands.
  • Collaborate with the team to plan and execute social content shoots, managing the process from concept to final delivery.
  • Plan and maintain content calendars, ensuring consistency across platforms.
  • Work with the internal creative team and external collaborators (Content Creators, AI / CSI designers, etc.) to source or produce content.
  • Partner with the broader marketing and product teams to execute brand campaigns and ensure effective delivery across social channels.
  • Stay on top of platform changes, trends, and best practices across both Instagram and TikTok.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in a social media role, ideally in e-commerce, fashion, or lifestyle sectors.
  • 4–6+ years experience in social media, ideally within fashion or e-commerce.
  • Strong hands-on experience managing Instagram and TikTok for consumer brands.
  • Proven ability to grow TikTok accounts and build momentum on the platform.
  • Understanding of TikTok Shop or social commerce is a strong plus.
  • Highly creative and forward-thinking approach to content, driven by a genuine passion for standing out and cutting through the noise.
  • Strong visual eye and understanding of aesthetics across different brand DNAs.
  • Proven experience managing a team, with strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Deep knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and emerging platforms.
  • Photo/video editing skills (Adobe Suite, CapCut, Canva).
  • Graphic design skills (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) are a strong plus.
  • Experience using analytics tools (Meta Business Suite, TikTok Analytics, etc.).
  • Collaborative, solutions-focused, and thrives in fast-paced environments.
