At SumUp, we believe in the everyday hero — those who have the courage to follow their passion and the determination to turn their vision into reality. Small business owners are at the heart of everything we do, and we build powerful, easy-to-use financial solutions to help them thrive.

The Role

As a Field Sales Executive, you’ll be more than just a salesperson — you’ll be a trusted partner to local businesses. With our innovative payment solutions, you’ll have the tools to make a real impact on your clients’ success. We’re building a high-performing Field Sales team and are looking for individuals with the mindset of wanting to be the best. If you thrive on competition, consistently push yourself to outperform, and know how to turn ambition into results, this is the role for you.

What You’ll Do

  • Identify and engage high-potential SMB clients in your territory
  • Run persuasive, face-to-face meetings and product demos that win business
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline through networking, referrals, and outbound activity
  • Consistently hit — and aim to exceed — ambitious sales targets

You’ll Be Great for This Role If

  • You have a winner’s mindset — competitive, motivated, and driven to be top of the leaderboard
  • You consistently exceed sales targets and thrive in high-pressure environments
  • You’re proactive in generating your own pipeline through cold outreach and referrals
  • You have excellent communication skills and can build lasting client trust
  • Industry experience in retail, hospitality, or POS/merchant services is ideal, but not essential
  • We welcome career changers — some of our top sellers have come from industries like automotive, property, telecoms, and events

Why Join SumUp?

  • Competitive compensation with uncapped earning potential
  • National recognition for top performers through leaderboards, prizes, and exclusive events
  • 28 days’ paid leave, plus sabbatical options and wellbeing support
  • Individual learning budget for conferences and training
  • Be part of a global tech company with 3000+ people across 22 offices

Job Application Tip

Don’t tick every box? Apply anyway — we hire for drive, ambition, and results, not just experience. We recognise that candidates feel they need to meet 100% of the job criteria in order to apply for a job. Please note that this is only a guide. If you don’t tick every box, it’s ok too because it means you have room to learn and develop your career at SumUp.
