Your new team

Be part of our dynamic consumer tribe within SumUp, focused on creating impactful products that transform transactions into seamless and engaging experiences. As a Senior Android Engineer, you\’ll lead the development of our consumer-facing mobile app, shaping how users interact with our merchant ecosystem across Europe and beyond.

What You’ll Do

1. Build and evolve our consumer mobile app to deliver financial services.
2. Shape user interactions within our growing ecosystem.
3. Learn our codebase quickly and develop features accordingly.
4. Develop major features impacting our user base within the first few months.
5. Gain comprehensive knowledge of our domain and technical stack by the end of your first year.
6. Collaborate with other mobile engineers to establish best practices for Android development.

You’ll be great for this position if

1. You have solid expertise in Kotlin and Android; Java is a plus.
2. You have experience with Agile methodologies, CI/CD, and Pair Programming.
3. You are passionate about user-centric design and aesthetics.
4. You prioritize clean, well-tested code and pragmatic delivery.
5. You possess strong problem-solving skills and architectural thinking.
6. You have a mature, user-focused approach to software engineering.
7. You are eager to explore AI tools to enhance workflows.
