Our Retail Click & Mortar team is on a mission to expand SumUp's presence from a trusted B2B brand into a full consumer financial services category across European retail. This is a net-new role sitting at the heart of that ambition — helping build the research, data, and insight infrastructure that will power our go-to-market strategy for consumers. If you're energised by building something from scratch and want real ownership from day one, this is the opportunity to grow into a key player in one of SumUp's most exciting strategic bets.
What you'll do:
- Build and maintain a structured market data tracker covering consumer retail distribution across key European markets, turning it into a foundational input for strategic planning.
- Coordinate end-to-end tracking across consumer MVP pilots — flagging risks, tracking milestones, and synthesising learnings into clear updates for the team.
- Produce insight decks and briefing documents that sharpen commercial decisions and accelerate planning cycles.
- Support retailer meetings and pitch preparation, contributing to follow-up coordination and relationship management.
- Work with the finance team to model and analyse the net revenue contribution and payback of consumer pilots, translating numbers into clear recommendations.
You'll be great for this role if…
- Strong analytical skills with comfort in Excel or Google Sheets, structuring data and turning it into clear, decision-ready outputs.
- Experience in finance, marketing, commercial analysis, strategy support, or a related field — even if early in your career.
- Ability to coordinate multiple workstreams simultaneously and keep delivery on track without losing sight of the detail.
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to produce concise, well-structured briefing documents and summaries.
- Comfort working in ambiguous, fast-moving environments where the playbook is still being written.
Why you should join SumUp:
- Opportunity to work with a truly global, multicultural team from our central Bankside location, wrapped in historic charm and modern flair. This involves an office-first setup.
- Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion: be part of a workplace that values and promotes diversity, fostering an inclusive environment where everyone's perspectives are respected and embraced.
- Generous time off: enjoy 28 days of paid leave, plus bank holidays and special leaves.
- A dedicated annual L&D budget for attending conferences and/or advancing your career through further education.
- Life made easier: salary-sacrifice commuter benefits via Gogeta.
- Financial security: retirement scheme (SumUp matches 7% when you contribute 5%).
- Peace of mind: life insurance from MetLife for 2× your salary.
- Break4me: 1-month sabbatical after 3 years of service.
- Referral Bonus: earn additional rewards by referring talented individuals to join the SumUp team.
