We are seeking an accomplished Web Design Team Lead to head our Website Design team. In this role, you will champion the creative vision and strategic direction of Sumsub's primary web presence. Your focus will be on transforming our website into a high-performing, scalable ecosystem that perfectly balances brand aesthetics with conversion optimization. You will lead a dedicated Web Design team to create data-driven, user-centered web experiences that elevate our brand and drive global growth.

If you have a passion for architecting complex web systems and a sharp eye for conversion-centric design, this role is for you.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Thinks about design as a system, not individual pages: You build scalable visual frameworks and libraries, ensuring every new page feels like a natural extension of the whole.
  • Understands how web design affects conversion and product understanding: You know how to use layout, contrast, and flow to turn visitors into leads and simplify complex product concepts.
  • Works comfortably with developers and technical constraints: You understand the reality of the browser. You speak the language of breakpoints, CSS Grid, and performance optimization.
  • Designs with components and scalability in mind: You prioritize the creation of reusable UI kits and patterns that allow the website to grow without losing visual integrity.

Your Role:

  • Creative Leadership: Inspire and mentor the Web Design team, setting ambitious quality benchmarks. You will foster a collaborative environment that focuses specifically on pushing the boundaries of what our website can achieve in terms of both beauty and functionality.
  • Web Strategy & Innovation: Define and execute a comprehensive web design strategy. You will stay ahead of web-specific trends—from micro-interactions to headless CMS capabilities—ensuring Sumsub’s site remains a leader in the B2B SaaS space.
  • Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO): Leverage analytics and user insights to optimize the website for growth. You will test hypotheses using A/B testing platforms and heatmaps, incorporating hard data into design decisions to improve the performance of our core landing pages and user flows.
  • Technical & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work as the bridge between the design team and Web Developers. You will ensure that your team's designs are technically feasible and that the handoff process is seamless, maintaining a high level of "design fidelity" from Figma to the live site.
  • System Quality & Consistency: Establish and uphold the Web Design System. You will conduct regular design reviews to ensure every new module or page adheres to established guidelines, maintaining a unified visual language across the entire domain.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Clearly articulate the "why" behind web design decisions to marketing and product leadership. You will bridge the gap between creative execution and business KPIs, ensuring the website serves the company's strategic goals.

About You:

  • 5+ years specializing in web design, with a portfolio that highlights complex website architectures and high-conversion landing pages.
  • 2+ years of experience leading a Web Design team, with a track record of mentoring designers and improving team workflows.
  • A deep understanding of web fundamentals (HTML/CSS) and how design choices impact site speed and responsiveness.
  • Master-level proficiency in Figma, specifically in building and maintaining complex component libraries and design systems.
  • Comfortable using tools like Google Analytics, Hotjar, or VWO to validate design directions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Digital Design, UI/UX, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience.
  • Fluent in English (C1 or higher) with the ability to manage projects from initial brief to final deployment.

What We Offer:

  • Remote-first, trust-based culture. Work from the place that works best for you.
  • True flexibility. We do not fix you to a 9‑to‑5 schedule.
  • Extra time off. Your birthday is a holiday here.
  • Work that matters. Our mission is to build a digital world that is secure, accessible and inclusive for everyone.
  • Compensation. We offer fair and transparent pay, benchmarked to the market.
  • Truly global. We work across continents and time zones.
  • Growth built in. Clear goals, open feedback and personal development plans.
  • Team offsites. Trips are fully covered, so you can meet, collaborate, and recharge together.
  • Getting you set up. We make sure you have access to the tools and hardware you need to do your work well.
  • Friendly by design. We keep things human, open and kind.
