We’re working with a large-scale media and content business investing heavily into YouTube, long-form video, and platform-native storytelling. They’re looking for a YouTube Director to help shape and scale the next phase of their video publishing strategy - building audience-first formats, growing channel ecosystems, and developing original IP designed specifically for YouTube audiences.

The Role

You’ll lead the YouTube strategy across multiple channels and brands, sitting across everything from programming and format development through to publishing, optimisation, and long-term growth. You’ll work closely with editorial, production, social and commercial teams to build scalable franchises and platform-native content designed for modern viewing habits.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the overall YouTube and long-form video strategy across multiple channels
  • Developing scalable original formats and repeatable content franchises
  • Driving subscriber, watch time and audience growth across YouTube ecosystems
  • Overseeing publishing strategy, programming cadence and channel optimisation
  • Using audience insights, retention data and platform trends to shape content decisions
  • Developing creator-led and personality-driven formats built for YouTube audiences
  • Working closely with production, editorial and commercial teams to scale output
  • Identifying monetisation opportunities across YouTube, branded content and partnerships
  • Exploring new audience and distribution opportunities across digital platforms
