The Role
We\’re working with a digital music brand that\’s boasting over 13 million subscribers and billions of views across its videos.
They\’re looking for a YouTube Channel Manager to own and focus on the data and analytics strategy that powers their YouTube channel’s growth and engagement. You’ll use deep insight into musical trends and viewer behaviour to inform content strategy, optimise performance, and ensure we remain the go-to destination for our audience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis of YouTube Studio data, tracking subscriber trends, watch time, retention, demographics, and content performance.
- Use advanced tools – Google Sheets, Excel, Looker, Tableau and leverage SQL or similar platforms for deep-dive queries across multiple data sources.
- Collaborate with Growth, Content Production, and Community teams to translate insights into planned content, optimising upload timing, formatting, and metadata.
- Monitor genre and song-level trends, surfacing opportunities for popular music versions and emerging musical niche demands.
- Test and iterate on thumbnails, titles, descriptions, and metadata to maximise reach and click-throughs.
- Share clear, actionable reports that influence decision-making across the business.
- Stay on top of platform updates and cultural shifts to keep us ahead of the curve.
What We\’re Looking For
- Experience managing or analysing YouTube channels, with proven growth results.
- Strong data skills and confidence working with analytics tools (YouTube Studio, Excel/Sheets, Looker/Tableau, SQL).
- A creative, analytical mindset and genuine passion for music.
- Strong communication skills, able to explain data in a simple, engaging way.
- Organised and proactive, with great project management skills.
