Social Media Lead (Sports & Athletes)
Salary: Β£50,000 β Β£55,000

About the Role
Our client is looking for a Social Media Lead to own their brand's voice and digital presence, with a strong focus on both long-form and short-form content strategy. This role involves developing and executing the social strategy, creating engaging content, managing community interactions, and using data to continuously sharpen performance.
What You'll Do
- Own the social media strategy and content calendar, balancing long-form and short-form formats (Instagram, YouTube, etc.)
- Develop long-form content strategy (e.g. YouTube, long-form video, in-depth storytelling) alongside short-form, high-engagement content
- Create, curate, and schedule engaging content aligned with brand voice
- Manage day-to-day community engagement and grow the follower base
- Track performance metrics and report on campaign effectiveness across content formats
- Collaborate with marketing, design, and product teams on campaigns
- Stay ahead of platform trends, algorithm changes, and emerging formats
- Manage influencer and partnership outreach where relevant
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience managing social media for a brand or organisation, with demonstrated success across both long-form and short-form content
- Strong understanding of content strategy, analytics, and platform best practices
- Excellent written communication and a sharp eye for visual content
- Comfortable working independently and juggling multiple campaigns at once
- A genuine passion for sport is a big plus β whether it's cricket, football, tennis, or golf, we'd love someone who can bring authentic sporting enthusiasm and knowledge to the brand's content and community engagement
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Experience with sports or lifestyle brands, particularly working with athletes
- Basic graphic design or video editing skills (Canva, CapCut, Adobe Suite)
- Knowledge of paid social advertising
