We’re working with a content and media business entering a major new phase of investment across audio, video podcasts, and creator-led content. They’re looking for a senior leader to shape and scale the overall podcast strategy across development, distribution, audience growth, monetisation, and long-term business expansion. This is a highly visible role with significant ownership and the opportunity to build a modern multi-platform podcast operation focused on commercially scalable content and long-term audience engagement.
The Role
You’ll oversee the broader podcast strategy across a growing portfolio of shows and formats, working across content, commercial, partnerships, distribution, operations, and growth. The role sits at the intersection of audience, revenue and content strategy — requiring someone who understands how podcast businesses evolve across audio, video, social and emerging platforms. You’ll work closely with senior leadership to identify growth opportunities, improve operational structure, expand monetisation, and shape the long-term direction of the business.
Responsibilities
- Leading the overall podcast and audio growth strategy
- Driving audience growth and platform expansion across audio and video
- Identifying new monetisation opportunities across partnerships, sponsorship, subscriptions and branded content
- Overseeing podcast development, launch and distribution strategies
- Working closely with content, production and commercial teams to scale output and performance
- Building strong relationships across platforms, talent, partners and the wider audio ecosystem
- Using audience data and performance insights to inform long-term strategy
- Supporting the development of scalable operational processes and workflows
- Identifying new market opportunities, partnerships and growth areas
- Leading and mentoring teams across multiple disciplines
