A high-profile content creator with a substantial existing audience is looking for a Senior Content Director to take full ownership of their content output, creative direction and social presence. This is a rare brief with a clear mandate: establish this creator as one of the most followed and trusted voices in their space across the UK and US, and build the content system to get them there. The role sits at the intersection of creative direction, scripting, audience growth and performance-driven social strategy.

You will design and run the entire content operation, from ideation and scripting through to production oversight and distribution, across both long and short form.

Core objectives
  • Scale social audience significantly within the first 12 months, targeting a highly engaged following across the UK and US
  • Build a repeatable, scalable content system that compounds audience growth across platforms
  • Develop the podcast into a genuine authority and audience engine, not just a distribution channel
  • Convert content attention into measurable commercial outcomes
The role
  • Own the end-to-end content strategy and creative direction across social and audio, bringing original thinking and a strong creative eye to everything produced
  • Script, shape and develop content that is distinctive, human and credible, ensuring the creator's voice remains authentic across every format and platform, never over-produced or corporate
  • Translate the creator's thinking, experience and IP into compelling content across both long and short form
  • Design channel-specific strategies for YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok that reflect how audiences actually behave on each platform
  • Lead the short-form output across YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Instagram Reels and LinkedIn, developing recurring formats and series that build habit and loyalty
  • Repurpose long-form content intelligently into high-performing short-form assets, and vice versa
  • Take full ownership of the podcast, shaping episode formats, themes and guest strategy, and ensuring it is tightly integrated with the wider social content ecosystem
  • Lead experimentation with hooks, formats, pacing and storytelling to maximise reach and engagement, staying close to performance data and adjusting quickly
  • Build a practical, efficient content engine that maximises output, planning filming and recording days, content calendars and production workflows
  • Brief, direct and collaborate with editors, producers and freelancers as required, maintaining a consistently high bar for creative execution
  • Think beyond follower numbers, designing clear pathways from content to commercial outcomes without compromising audience trust
What we’re looking for
  • A senior content or social leader with strong creative instinct and proven ideation ability, not just executional experience
  • Demonstrable experience building and scaling large, engaged audiences around people, ideas or expertise
  • Scripting experience across both long and short form content, with the ability to capture and protect an authentic individual voice
  • Deep understanding of YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and LinkedIn, with a strong feel for format, narrative and platform behaviour
  • Experience shaping or growing podcasts as part of a broader content strategy
  • Comfortable operating at a senior level, shaping creative direction as much as managing output
  • Commercially minded, with the ability to connect content performance to real business outcomes
