The business produces high-quality interviews, documentaries and personality-led formats featuring some of the UK’s most recognised entrepreneurs and business leaders. Its content reaches millions of viewers each month, making this a great opportunity to join an ambitious media company with a rapidly expanding audience.

They are looking for a talented Video Editor who can take ownership of both long- and short-form content from raw footage through to final delivery. Editing will be the main focus of the role, although you will also support filming, production planning and content development. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone with strong storytelling instincts who understands how to create digital content that captures attention, retains viewers and performs across different platforms.

The Role

  • Working closely with the co-founders and wider creative team, you will lead the editing of long-form YouTube videos alongside short-form content for TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
  • You will shape raw footage into engaging, polished and platform-appropriate content, with a strong focus on storytelling, pacing, structure and audience retention.
  • Alongside editing, you will support studio and location shoots, contribute to pre-production and help improve production and post-production processes.
  • You will also have the opportunity to develop new ideas, formats and creative approaches as the business continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit engaging long-form YouTube videos, including interviews, documentaries and personality-led content.
  • Turn raw footage into structured and compelling stories with strong pacing and audience retention.
  • Create high-performing short-form edits for TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
  • Repurpose long-form content into multiple platform-specific social assets.
  • Select the strongest moments, hooks and narratives from interviews and longer recordings.
  • Enhance edits using music, sound design, captions, graphics and motion elements.
  • Complete colour correction, colour grading and audio mixing to deliver polished final content.
  • Manage feedback, revisions and delivery deadlines across multiple projects.
  • Organise footage, project files and post-production workflows.
  • Film high-quality content in studio and on location when required.
  • Set up and operate professional cameras, lighting and audio equipment.
  • Support pre-production, including shoot planning, scheduling, shot lists and production logistics.
  • Work closely with the founders to develop new content ideas, series and formats.
  • Use content performance and audience insights to continually improve editing decisions.
  • Stay up to date with editing styles, digital content trends and platform best practices.

About You

  • Strong experience editing long- and short-form digital content.
  • A portfolio demonstrating high-quality YouTube and social media editing.
  • Excellent storytelling instincts and a strong understanding of pacing, hooks and audience retention.
  • Advanced Adobe Premiere Pro skills.
  • Confident working with music, sound design, captions, graphics and basic motion elements.
  • Comfortable editing interviews, documentaries and personality-led content.
  • Able to adapt editing styles for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and other social platforms.
  • Confident shooting with professional camera equipment and smartphones.
  • Comfortable supporting both studio-based and location productions.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly organised, detail-focused and confident managing post-production workflows.
  • Passionate about digital media, creators and online storytelling.

Desirable

  • Experience producing or assisting on digital content shoots.
  • After Effects, motion graphics or animation experience.
  • Strong knowledge of lighting, cameras and audio equipment.
  • Experience working within a digital publisher, creator business, agency or production company.
  • Understanding of YouTube analytics, watch time, retention and content optimisation.
  • Experience creating thumbnails, titles or supporting wider content packaging.
  • Experience managing freelance editors or other post-production support.

Why Apply?

  • Join a successful and growing digital publisher whose content reaches millions of viewers each month.
  • Take ownership of both long- and short-form editing across a wide variety of content.
  • Work on interviews, documentaries and personality-led formats featuring recognised entrepreneurs and business leaders.
  • Develop your filming, production and creative skills alongside your core editing responsibilities.
  • Join a collaborative and entrepreneurial team where your ideas can directly shape the content.
  • Play an important role in improving the quality, consistency and performance of the business’s video output.
  • Gain plenty of opportunity to develop as the company and its content slate continue to grow.
