We’re hiring a Social Media Lead for a social-first publisher with a large global audience across TikTok, Instagram and YouTube. This role sits within the core content team and focuses on shaping the strategy behind the content being produced, not just managing social channels.
Responsibilities
- Define and evolve the short-form content strategy across TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts
- Analyse performance data to identify formats, themes and storytelling approaches that drive views and engagement
- Work directly with founders, producers and editors to shape content direction before production
- Develop repeatable content formats that can scale output and audience growth
- Monitor trends and platform behaviour to inform new content ideas
- Provide clear feedback to creative teams on hooks, pacing, narrative structure and retention
Requirements
- Experience developing content strategy within a digital publisher, social media company or creator-led media business
- Strong understanding of short-form video performance (hooks, watch time, retention, sharing)
- Experience working closely with creative teams producing social video content
- Confident using performance data to guide content decisions
- Experience operating at Senior Manager / Lead level within a content or social team
