Job Title: Content Director (Video / YouTube)
Start Date: ASAP
Employment Type: Full-Time
Overview
We are hiring on behalf of a high-profile entrepreneur and business leader for a newly created senior-level role focused on building a video-first media brand. This is an opportunity to lead the development of a high-impact YouTube channel, shape the editorial tone and content formats, and establish a production pipeline from the ground up.
With a clear vision, an established following, and strong investment, the business is set to become a major player in the founder-led content space. Your work will directly shape how business stories, founder insights, and expert conversations are captured and distributed.
The Role
The Content Production Director will oversee all video output, from ideation to post-production. You’ll take the lead on filming and producing content featuring the founder and a roster of high-profile guests, including business leaders, creators, and subject-matter experts.
You’ll bring strong visual instincts, a feel for narrative, and an ability to adapt long-form interviews into compelling short-form content. You’ll also be tasked with evolving the content strategy over time and building a small team to support growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the creative direction and production of YouTube and social-first video content
- Develop a weekly content calendar, covering interviews, behind-the-scenes, explainer-style content, and more
- Direct and manage all aspects of video shoots — from pre-production and scripting to filming and post
- Edit content yourself, particularly in the early stages, and manage additional editors or freelancers as needed
- Optimise video performance across platforms by staying ahead of trends and algorithm changes
- Collaborate closely with the founder and social teams to align content with audience strategy
- Track analytics and use insights to iterate content formats and boost channel growth
- Build and oversee a content production team as the business scales
About You
- 5+ years in content production, ideally with experience in a fast-paced media or creator environment
- A strong portfolio showcasing your ability to produce content for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and other digital platforms
- Confident both behind the camera and in the edit — skilled in Premiere Pro, Final Cut, After Effects or similar
- Solid understanding of storytelling, pacing, framing, and how to build content that connects
- Comfortable working closely with senior stakeholders and talent, and able to bring structure and creativity to fast-moving ideas
- Commercially aware with a strong instinct for what performs and why
- Passionate about business, entrepreneurship, and building content that informs, entertains, and scales
What You’ll Get
- Creative ownership from day one, with the freedom to define the brand’s video identity
- The chance to work alongside a well-known entrepreneur and shape a new digital media platform
- Regular access to influential guests and collaborators across business, tech and culture
- A collaborative and ambitious environment, where your work has immediate impact
- Competitive salary, bonus, and the opportunity to grow with the business
