Overview
The life of a Commercial Marketing Manager: As Commercial Marketing Manager, you will support Sumo Digital to position itself as the leading provider of full cycle, co-development and premium services. You will work with Sumo\’s Senior Leadership team and Commercial/BD teams to drive market penetration and will deliver Marketing goals to ensure Sumo is the go-to partner of choice for the video game, entertainment and software development markets. The Commercial Marketing Manager will oversee the creation and maintenance of Sumo branded assets (social media assets, event assets, pitch decks, videography etc) coordinating and collaborating with Commercial, Concepting and Production teams and set priorities to support business growth. The Commercial Marketing Manager will also have some line management responsibility. Alongside managing and building strong working relationships with external consultants and partners including but not limited to website developers, PR and SEO etc.
Responsibilities
- Oversee creation and maintenance of Sumo branded assets (social media assets, event assets, pitch decks, videography) and coordinate with Commercial, Concepting and Production teams to set priorities that support business growth.
- Collaborate with the Senior Leadership and Commercial/BD teams to drive market penetration and achieve Marketing goals to position Sumo as the go-to partner in the video game, entertainment and software development markets.
- Manage a line of direct reports and develop strong working relationships with external consultants and partners (e.g., website developers, PR, SEO).
What will you bring with you
- Strong B2B Marketing experience: Brand, Digital Marketing, social media, Events and PR etc (not expected to be an expert in all areas).
- Experience in a fast-paced, hands-on Marketing role with hands-on experience managing an established Brand – either agency or in-house.
- Can-do attitude — able to deliver on tasks independently as well as manage and delegate when required.
- Ability to manage change through quick ideation and roll outs with support from Creative and Concept teams.
- Strong Project Management skills — ability to prioritise workflows and work with Production teams to meet goals quickly and effectively.
- Strong communicator with the ability to build strong relationships internally and externally and work across all seniority levels.
- Analytical — ability to review data, reveal trends and use insights to guide practices to meet objectives and goals.
- Line Management experience (advantageous).
- Degree or Postgraduate qualification in Marketing (advantageous).
