9 Months Fixed Term Contract

Are you skilled in planning and managing marketing campaigns? Are you a strong leader with experience in people management within a Digital Marketing Agency? We have a fantastic opportunity for an Account Director to join the changemakers in performance marketing on a 9 month fixed term contract. We offer flexible start and finish times as well as having every other Friday off. We trust our people to work flexibly around their lifestyle and family arrangements. Summiteers are asked to attend our office in the C4DI complex in Hull, Fruit Market 2 days per week, the rest of the week can be done from home. For the right candidate, we may also consider greater flexibility around office time.

What will you be doing?

  • In this role as an Account Director at Summit, you will own the relationship and performance with our key client partner.
  • Delivering against a set of KPIs and objectives, this role will be accountable for the overall delivery of performance marketing across a client set and provide strategic project support.
  • The role will support and nurture our senior management team – as well as remaining actively involved and accountable for the performance of the junior team - to ensure a consistent level of outstanding service to clients and facilitate a high-functioning team environment.

On a day-to-day basis, you will:

  • Establish best in class client management and cross-agency governance across a breadth of corporate, client and brand sponsors.
  • Establish efficient communication strategies to build and maintain relationships and put in place client satisfaction strategies and measures.
  • Allocate appropriate delivery resource, own commercial proposals and quotes and client profitability.
  • Build and establish a high performing, performance marketing ‘client pod’.
  • Onboard and line manage senior team and support to troubleshoot and prioritise client delivery challenges.
  • Be accountable for the overall client pod's engagement and delivery against Business KPIs and Objectives.
  • Implement processes and ways of working for efficiency and performance across the portfolio of brands, ensuring your team and department is recognised as a well-organised, smooth-running function that stakeholders find easy and effective to work with.
  • Work with Summit leadership team, Client Services Director and Head of Operations on overall client strategy, ensuring partner value extends beyond performance delivery, building stronger, strategic relationships.

What are we looking for?

The successful Account Director will have experience successfully planning and managing performance marketing activity within an agency setting. They will be able to expertly manage multiple workstreams and teams and be comfortable prioritising high profile projects in a fast-paced environment. We're looking for a confident, people leader who will strive to promote a positive team culture while ensuring the best outcomes for both Summit and the client. You will have established management experience (min. 3 direct reports across a two-layer structure), accountable for team development, performance, and aligning roles to drive commercial value!

Key skills and knowledge include:

  • Extensive experience in successfully planning and managing marketing campaigns and activity across multiple channels simultaneously in an agency setting.
  • Demonstrate evidence of a strong commercial awareness when managing client relationships, and influencing decisions that support business growth.
  • A strong understanding of cross-channel synergy in an ecommerce environment.
  • Experience in analysing performance, challenges, and opportunities with an understanding of potential future issues and growth potential.
  • Building and maintaining internal and client relationships at a senior level, with a strong understanding of their objectives.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, and an analytical, detail orientated approach.
  • People management experience is essential with an ability to inspire and lead client teams.
  • Comfortable in developing solutions and managing conflict between stakeholders when required.
  • Exposure to operational and HR practices and processes is desirable but not essential.

On offer is a competitive starting salary of £50,000 per annum depending on experience as well as a range of excellent benefits including flexible start and finish times, up to 29 days' holiday per year (plus bank holidays), milestone days off, Bupa health cash plan, life assurance and Annual Bonus Scheme.
