Due to recent expansion, weβre looking for a hands-on project manager to take ownership of new projects from award to completion.
Role Description.
Reporting to the operations director, you will be responsible for the safe, profitable and timely delivery of multiple painting and decorating projects throughout Scotland.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple projects from pre-start to handover
- Attend pre-start, progress and handover meetings with clients and principal contractors.
- Review scopes, drawings and specifications; highlighting risks and variations
- Plan labour, materials and access requirements to deliver projects efficiently
- Coordinate and supervise site supervisors and painting & taping squads
- Ensure quality standards and snag-free completion in line with client expectations
- Monitor programme, progress and site records; implement recovery plans where necessary
- Manage variations and final accounts in conjunction with the commercial team
- Compilation of RAMS for each project
- Ensure compliance with RAMS, H&S Legislation and company procedures
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers and sub-contractors
About you
- Experience as a project manager / senior supervisor within painting & decorating or related trades
- Strong understanding of site operations, programmes and construction processes
- Good commercial awareness β variations, valuations and cost control
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects at different stages
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Strong planning and organisational skills with a keen eye for detail
- Competent with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word etc) and basic project / admin systems
- Full UK driving licence
- Trade background in painting & decorating
