We are working on behalf of a well-established and growing law firm with its head office based in Chester. Due to continued expansion, the firm is looking to recruit an Employment Solicitor to join its busy and respected employment team.
The firm would ideally like to speak with candidates who are local to Chester, Cheshire, or the wider North West; however, they are open to flexible or fully remote working arrangements for the right individual. This is an excellent opportunity for an Employment Solicitor seeking high-quality work, flexibility, and genuine scope for progression within a supportive and forward-thinking firm.
The successful candidate will handle a broad and varied employment law caseload, advising both employer and employee clients. The role offers a high degree of autonomy and the chance to play a key role in the continued development of the employment offering.
Key Responsibilities- Managing a mixed employment law caseload covering contentious and non-contentious matters
- Advising on issues including:
- Unfair and wrongful dismissal
- Discrimination and whistleblowing claims
- TUPE matters
- Redundancies and restructures
- Settlement agreements
- Employment contracts, policies, and handbooks
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales
- Ideally 3+ years PQE in employment law (applications outside this range are welcome)
- Strong technical knowledge of employment legislation and case law
- Experience running Employment Tribunal matters
- Excellent communication and client-handling skills
- Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
- A proactive and commercially minded approach
- £40,000 - £60,000 DOE
- Flexible working arrangements, including hybrid or remote working
