Our client is a regulatory consultancy providing Employment Law, HR, and Health & Safety support to businesses across the UK. Following a record-breaking 2025, they are expanding their Health & Safety offering and are now looking to appoint a Business Development Manager to support the next phase of our growth.
We work with business owners and senior decision-makers who expect a professional, consultative approach and a high standard of service. Our Health & Safety solutions are positioned as a premium, outsourced alternative to in-house provision.
The Role
This is a target-driven B2B sales role focused exclusively on selling our Health & Safety consultancy services. You will be responsible for generating new business through outbound activity, as well as managing inbound Health & Safety enquiries. You will manage the full sales cycle, from first conversation through to close. Experience selling Health & Safety services is desirable but not essential. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively generate new Health & Safety sales opportunities through outbound activity.
- Manage and convert inbound enquiries from business owners and senior managers.
- Identify client risks and requirements and present appropriate, compliant solutions.
- Confidently pitch our Health & Safety services, articulating both risk reduction and commercial value.
- Handle objections and negotiate professionally.
- Maintain accurate pipeline and activity records in HubSpot.
- Prepare professional proposals using our sales software.
- Consistently achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
About You
- Proven B2B sales experience, ideally within consultancy, compliance, or professional services.
- Health & Safety knowledge or experience selling H&S services is an advantage, but not essential.
- A professional demeanour and communication style, suitable for engaging directors and business owners.
- Confident, credible, and comfortable positioning a premium service.
- Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple opportunities at once.
- IT literate, with experience using CRM systems (HubSpot preferred) and Microsoft Office.
- Ambitious, resilient, and commercially astute.
What We Offer
- £30,000 - £35,000 basic (depending on experience) + uncapped commission (OTE £80,000).
