The Opportunity

Summit Rec2Rec is partnered with an established Executive Search and Talent Consultancy that is entering an exciting new phase of growth and, for the first time, is investing in building a graduate talent pipeline. This is not a typical recruitment agency. The business operates at the executive level, partnering with clients on senior and board-level mandates and positioning itself as a strategic talent advisor and consultancy, rather than a transactional recruitment provider. Alongside executive search, the firm provides clients with sophisticated talent intelligence, including:

  • Talent Market Mapping
  • Talent Benchmarking
  • Competitive Talent Analysis
  • Market & Sector Intelligence
  • Executive Search & Identification

The role therefore offers graduates the opportunity to develop a genuine understanding of how organisations think about senior talent, leadership structures and the wider competitive talent landscape.

The Role

As a Graduate Executive Search Consultant, you will work closely with senior members of the business to support executive search mandates and talent consultancy projects. You will be expected to develop a deep understanding of the market you operate within, identify and assess senior-level talent, and contribute to the research and intelligence that underpins client decisions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting detailed market and talent research
  • Mapping senior-level talent across specific sectors and organisations
  • Identifying and approaching senior candidates for executive search mandates
  • Building and maintaining relationships with senior professionals
  • Producing talent maps, benchmarking reports and competitor analysis
  • Supporting senior consultants throughout executive search assignments
  • Developing an in-depth understanding of clients, sectors and leadership markets
  • Managing candidate processes and maintaining strong communication throughout
  • Becoming a trusted source of market intelligence for both clients and candidates

Who This Role Suits

This opportunity is particularly well suited to graduates who are strategic, methodical and intellectually curious. We're looking for someone who is:

  • Educated to degree level
  • Strategic and analytical in their approach
  • Naturally curious and research-oriented
  • Methodical, organised and detail-focused
  • Articulate and confident in communication
  • Comfortable building relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Commercially minded and interested in how businesses operate
  • Ambitious to build a long-term career in executive search
  • Professional, mature and comfortable operating in a high-performance environment

You should be someone who enjoys understanding the detail behind a problem rather than simply finding the quickest answer. You will receive structured development directly from the Managing Director, giving you first-hand exposure to how senior executive search mandates are won, managed and delivered. Rather than being placed into a large graduate training programme and left to work things out independently, you will have the opportunity to learn directly from experienced leadership within the business.

You will develop skills across:

  • Market intelligence & research
  • Executive candidate identification
  • Talent mapping
  • Benchmarking & competitor analysis
  • Senior stakeholder communication
  • Relationship management
  • Executive Search methodology
  • Client advisory & consultancy
