Responsibilities include providing quality health care to adult, child and adolescent residents. The candidate must be licensed in the state of New Jersey as a Registered Nurse with a minimum of three years of hospital-based nursing experience and two years of psychiatric nursing experience required. A BSN or BS in a related health field is necessary, and applicants in the process of obtaining a bachelor's degree with relevant employment experience will be considered.
Past experience should include supervision of staff. ANCC certification in mental health and psychiatric nursing is preferred. Current CPR certification is required. Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of effective management and supervisory practices, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and have the ability to plan, direct, and monitor others’ activities with demonstrated leadership abilities that contribute to a positive work environment. Progressive roles in nursing leadership are also expected.
