The Role
As part of our employment team, you will be involved in a wide range of contentious and non-contentious matters including:
- Advising employers on contracts of employment, policies and procedures, disciplinary and grievance issues, redundancies, TUPE, employment status issues and terminations.
- Acting for employees and senior executives on workplace disputes, settlement agreements, and employment tribunal claims.
- Managing your own caseload with appropriate supervision and collaborating on more complex matters.
- Drafting and negotiating employment documentation including contracts, handbooks, directors service agreements and consultancy agreements.
- Playing an active role in business development, networking, and marketing initiatives to grow our employment offering.
- Contributing to thought leadership through articles, seminars, and online content.
Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking a high-calibre solicitor who can hit the ground running. The ideal candidate will have:
- 2–4 years’ post-qualification experience in employment law gained at a well-regarded City, West End, or regional firm.
- Experience advising both employers and employees across a variety of sectors.
- Excellent technical knowledge and a practical, solution-focused approach.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- A commercial mindset with enthusiasm for business development and growing client relationships.
- Confidence working independently while also being a collaborative team player.
