Company Description:

You can help bring our villages to life!

Summerset Cambridge is preparing to welcome residents to its beautifully designed village – an exciting new chapter for our vibrant community. With its stunning location and thoughtfully landscaped grounds, the outdoor spaces will be a true highlight – and we’re searching for a skilled and passionate Gardener to help bring them to life.

At Summerset, from the moment we start developing a village, to when our residents call it home, it’s the passion and dedication of our people that brings our villages to life. We are one team united by being part of something bigger – to bring the best of life to our residents.

Job Description:

We’re looking for a hands-on and reliable Gardener to join our Cambridge village, where you’ll support the Gardener and Property Manager with the day-to-day maintenance of the village gardens, lawns, and outdoor areas. In addition to gardening duties, you’ll be responsible for lawn care—including mowing and general property maintenance tasks across the site.

As the village continues to grow, you’ll support the property team as needed—making this a diverse and rewarding role for someone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in creating well-maintained, welcoming spaces within a close-knit community.

This is a permanent full-time role working Monday to Friday.

Qualifications:

We’re looking for someone with proven experience in gardening, lawn care, and general property maintenance. You’ll need to be confident using a range of tools and equipment, and comfortable handling tasks such as mowing, pruning, minor repairs, and outdoor upkeep.

You’ll be a team player who can also work independently, managing your time effectively to ensure daily tasks are completed to a high standard. Being well-organised, efficient, and physically fit will help you thrive in this hands-on role and deliver great service to our residents.

A genuine passion for creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces, along with a warm, respectful approach to people from all walks of life, is essential.

Additional Information:

When you’re part of the Summerset team, you belong to a place where your work has real impact, who you are is fully embraced and where your career flourishes. We know it takes a collective effort to bring a village to life and help it thrive, so Summerset is a place where everyone’s uniqueness and diversity can shine.

Our benefits include:

  • Southern Cross Health Essentials Insurance
  • Birthday leave
  • Employee share scheme
  • Discounts at a range of suppliers
