What You'll Do
- Support pupils individually, in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
- Work with pupils who have EHCPs and additional SEN needs
- Deliver academic, social and emotional interventions
- Monitor and assess pupil progress using a range of strategies
- Communicate effectively with teaching staff and other professionals
- Undertake relevant training to support intervention delivery
- Provide classroom support to meet the needs of learners with varying abilities
- Help pupils achieve their full potential and engage positively in learning
Training Outcome
- Become a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to lead classes or a Senior TA to manage staff
- Move into SEN support, Pastoral care, or Learning Mentor roles
- Use your experience to enter a Teacher Degree Apprenticeship or a PGCE route to gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Completion of the apprenticeship program does not automatically lead to continued employment.
