Your opportunity to make a lasting difference as a Class Teacher at Summerhill Academy. We are seeking a passionate and committed Year 4 Class Teacher to join Summerhill Academy, where you will deliver high-quality teaching across the primary curriculum and help every child develop the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to succeed. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to shape learning, nurture curiosity and support pupils' progress at every stage of their primary education.

We are looking for an inspirational teacher to cover maternity leave, with a passion for delivering excellent educational experiences for our pupils. About you:

  • a qualified teacher or hold an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • able to deliver the primary curriculum effectively and consistently teach high-quality, well-structured lessons that promote strong progress and outcomes for all pupils.
  • confident in meeting the needs of diverse learners, including pupils eligible for pupil premium, looked after children, those with SEND, EAL pupils and high-attaining learners.
  • a reflective and adaptable practitioner, with secure subject and curriculum knowledge and a commitment to continuous professional development.
  • a strong communicator, able to build positive, professional relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents, and contribute positively to the wider life and ethos of the school.
  • committed to creating a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment, underpinned by high expectations for behaviour, learning and personal development.
  • able to recognise, value and support opportunities that extend beyond the classroom, enriching pupils' experiences and fostering a love of learning.
  • empowered to develop your own expert practice and, where appropriate, support and influence the practice of others.
