Annual Salary: £20,279 – £22,099 (CLF Grade B, based on hours and week worked). Full Time Equivalent Salary: £25,941 – £28,275 (CLF Grade B). Contract Type: Permanent. Hours: 33.75 hours per week – Part Time, Term Time Only plus Inset days. Working Pattern: Monday to Friday. Potential Start Date: 1 September 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Support students in accessing the curriculum and achieving their full potential by using a range of effective strategies and techniques.
  • Deliver planned learning activities and teaching programmes, adapting approaches in response to individual student needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support high‑quality teaching and learning, focusing on measurable academic progress and students’ social and emotional development.
  • Engage students and manage behaviour on a one‑to‑one or small group basis.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Experience or willingness to work in a single form entry school.
  • Understanding of classroom roles and responsibilities and how a teaching assistant supports students in their learning.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with empathy and active listening.
  • Good planning and organisational skills for learning activities and support materials.
  • Relevant qualification: NVQ Level 2/3 in supporting teaching and learning (or equivalent).
  • First aid qualification encouraged.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and workplace safety.
