Summerhall Distillery is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Brand Manager to join our team. This is a hands-on role for someone who understands the drinks industry, specifically the development of alcohol brands. We are looking for a true all-rounder who can manage multiple brands across the business portfolio, including social media, brand activations, PR support, events, email marketing, partnerships, and brand development activities, and who can drive campaign strategies that develop each brand story. You will play a key role in growing brand awareness through broader campaign strategies and consumer engagement across all communication channels, with real scope to shape the direction of our in-house brands. This position would suit someone creative, commercially aware, organised, and proactive - someone who enjoys taking ownership and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and manage all brand activity across the company portfolio.
- Develop and execute marketing campaigns across multiple alcohol brands alongside other marketing team members.
- Work closely with other departments such as sales, production, and the visitors centre to support commercial growth.
- Plan and occasionally execute tastings, launches, trade shows, festivals, and consumer events.
- Assist with PR outreach and media opportunities such as press, influencers, and industry contacts.
- Create and manage email marketing campaigns.
- Assist with product launches and packaging development.
- Identify opportunities for partnerships and brand growth.
- Monitor campaign performance and produce reports where required.
- Support website updates.
A minimum of 3 years demonstrable experience in brand development and product launches, preferably with spirits or wine brands. Experience in brand management and marketing strategy. Strong understanding of the drinks industry and consumer marketing. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Creative mindset with strong attention to detail. Self-motivated and able to work independently. Comfortable attending and working at events and activations. Full UK driving licence preferred. Experience with photography or video editing. Experience using Meta Ad Centre, Klaviyo, Canva and Shopify. Existing industry contacts within hospitality, retail, or distribution. PR or influencer marketing experience.
