Senior Platforms Engineer | VDI Engineer Summer-Browning Associates is currently supporting our central government client, who is seeking a Senior Platforms Engineer | VDI Engineer for an initial 12 assignments with the option to extend. Location: East Kilbride (Glasgow) | Hybrid 60% onsite The ideal candidate will have an active security clearance and a strong background in Platforms Engineering within a high-threat government environment. Skills and Experience: Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting complex platform issues at the third and fourth line of support. Proven expertise in the design, implementation, support, and troubleshooting of VMware Horizon environments. Comprehensive technical knowledge of technologies such as VMware Horizon, Unified Access Gateway (UAG), App Volumes, Dynamic Environment Manager (DEM), Instant Clones, VMware vSphere, ESXi, as well as the creation, management, and monitoring of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI). Extensive experience in supporting Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Certificate Services, and various authentication technologies.
