Summer-Browning Associates is currently supporting our defence client, who is seeking a Commercial Officer for an initial twelve-month assignment with the option to extend.
Location: Hybrid working - Fareham or Salisbury
About the role: You will be responsible for leading competitive or single source procurements and sourcing activities, including development of invitations to tender or negotiate, including complex contracts requiring non-standard pricing conditions or bespoke terms and conditions.
The ideal candidate will hold Active SC or DV clearance and have a strong background in delivery Commercial support, with the following skills and experience:
- Experience across sourcing, procurement and contract management activities.
- Identifying the most suitable commercial approach to the circumstances.
- Understanding and applying tools to monitor supplier performance, cost analysis, and contract related management information systems.
- Research & Development Category experience. (Desirable)
