Summer-Browning Associates is currently supporting a client in Central Government who is seeking a Commercial Deputy Director for an initial 6-month assignment, with the possibility of extension.
Location: London | Hybrid Working
The ideal candidate will possess active SC clearance and have a strong background as a Commercial Deputy Director. The following skills and experience are required:
- Expertise in Commercial Procurement: Extensive knowledge and experience in the procurement and management of high-value public sector contracts, including facilities management, construction, cost management, design, and other related services.
- Contractual Management Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the NEC suite of contract terms and various contracting options.
- Category and Procurement Leadership: Ability to drive relevant strategies while demonstrating category expertise.
- Team Management: Proven experience in successfully managing, motivating, and developing team members, fostering an inclusive working environment, and leading changes to improve service delivery.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent skills in engaging stakeholders, with a track record of successful collaboration with Crown Commercial Services and other government departments.
- Public sector regulations: Knowledge of PCR 2015 and PA 2023.
