Summer-Browning Associates are currently supporting our client within the Public Sector, who are seeking a Head of Commercial on an initial 6 month assignment (Inside IR35).

Location: London or York (hybrid)

To be considered for this opportunity you will need to have been at Head of Commercial level (with 5+ years of recent experience). You'll also be able to demonstrate the value of the relevant projects you've worked on.

Essential:
  • Knowledge of the use and application of railway and/or construction industry conditions of contract.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent and professional qualification.
  • Experienced staff manager and negotiator.
  • Demonstrate experience of resolution of construction contract disputes and robust post contract management.
  • Relevant railway and/or construction experience.
  • Knowledge of railway commercial contract management and estimating.
  • Demonstrable experience of actively building internal and external networks and partnering across functions and boundaries.
  • Demonstrable experience of coaching and addressing team and individual capability requirements.
  • Demonstrable experience of assessing the impact of decisions on customers, with consideration of value for money and business priorities.
