Summer-Browning Associates are currently supporting our client who are seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineer on a Permanent basis. The ideal candidate will be a recent graduate or have 6 months experience within a similar environment and hold a strong interest in electrical control panels, control systems, automation, and motor control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and layout of electrical control panels
  • Build, wire, and test control panels to specification
  • Program and configure VSDs and PLCs (training provided)
  • Carry out on-site installations, commissioning, and system testing
  • Support fault finding and troubleshooting activities
  • Help prepare documentation, such as wiring schematics, manuals, and reports
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with safety and quality standards

Candidate Requirements:

  • A relevant recent engineering degree/HND (e.g., Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering)
  • Strong understanding of electrical and electronic principles
  • Interest in control systems, automation, and motor control
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • A team player with a strong willingness to learn
  • Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
  • A full clean UK driving licence and reliable vehicle is essential (mileage paid when travelling to site other than the office)
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, to allow working alongside on-site engineers
  • Located in North England, preferably within 1 hour of Oldham.
