Summer-Browning Associates are currently supporting our client who are seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineer on a Permanent basis. The ideal candidate will be a recent graduate or have 6 months experience within a similar environment and hold a strong interest in electrical control panels, control systems, automation, and motor control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and layout of electrical control panels
- Build, wire, and test control panels to specification
- Program and configure VSDs and PLCs (training provided)
- Carry out on-site installations, commissioning, and system testing
- Support fault finding and troubleshooting activities
- Help prepare documentation, such as wiring schematics, manuals, and reports
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with safety and quality standards
Candidate Requirements:
- A relevant recent engineering degree/HND (e.g., Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering)
- Strong understanding of electrical and electronic principles
- Interest in control systems, automation, and motor control
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- A team player with a strong willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
- A full clean UK driving licence and reliable vehicle is essential (mileage paid when travelling to site other than the office)
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office suite
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, to allow working alongside on-site engineers
- Located in North England, preferably within 1 hour of Oldham.
