Senior VMware Engineer Summer-Browning Associates is currently supporting our central government client, who is seeking a Senior VMware Engineer for an initial 6 assignments with the option to extend. Location: East Kilbride (Glasgow) or London / Hybrid The ideal candidate will have an active security clearance and a strong VMware /Virtualisation Engineering background in a high-threat government environment. Skills and Experience: Comprehensive hands-on experience in administering and supporting technologies including VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), VSAN, NSX, PowerCLI, server hardware, and Aria. A thorough understanding of enterprise virtualization, data center infrastructure, and hybrid hosting environments. Proven experience in managing VMware platform upgrades, migrations, lifecycle management, and transformation programs. Strong knowledge of VMware infrastructure security, including platform hardening, patch management, and compliance requirements. Familiarity with virtual networking concepts and infrastructure integration processes. Advanced proficiency in PowerShell and PowerCLI scripting. Demonstrated experience in implementing automation and operational improvement initiatives. Experience working within Agile delivery frameworks and project-oriented environments.
