Summer-Browning Associates is currently supporting our central government client, who is seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Architect for an initial six-month assignment with the option to extend. Location: London.

The ideal candidate will have an active security clearance and a strong background in Azure Cloud Technical Architecture with the following skills and experiences:

  • Proven experience in designing and implementing solutions on Azure, including Azure Policy, network security, and platform guardrails.
  • Ability to lead the automation of infrastructure deployment and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools such as Terraform, Bicep, and ARM templates.
  • Experience in developing and enforcing privileged access management, including Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Privileged Identity Management (PIM), and conditional access policies.
  • Deep understanding of integrating and optimizing monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Sentinel) to enhance operational visibility and support incident response.
  • Experience in defining, maintaining, and owning the technical strategy and roadmap for services.
  • Proven ability to lead technical design initiatives across multiple domains, including Data, Digital, Security, and other technical areas.
  • A track record of mentoring, coaching, and managing mid-level technical architects.
  • Strong capability to guide technical teams, influence critical technical decisions, and identify transformative digital opportunities.
  • Familiarity with working in public sector or defence secure environments.
