SBA are currently supporting our Central Government client, who are seeking a Senior Network Engineer on an initial 6 month + contract Vacancies:

2 The Role Join a highly skilled engineering team supporting complex, business-critical enterprise network environments.

Provide 3rd-line support across routing, switching, firewalls, load balancing, wireless and remote-access technologies.

Design, implement and support secure, resilient networks across on-premises, cloud and hybrid environments.

Drive Network Automation, Dev Ops and Infrastructure as Code (Ia C) practices.

Develop automated network deployment and configuration solutions using Ansible, Python/Power Shell, Git and REST APIs.

Integrate network provisioning and configuration into CI/CD pipelines.

Support monitoring, observability, capacity planning, performance optimisation and continuous service improvement.

What We're Looking For Strong experience as a Senior Network Engineer within complex enterprise environments.

Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, IPv4/IPv6, NAT, Qo S and VLSM.

Strong experience with LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, VPNs, OSPF and BGP.

Hands-on experience across routing, switching, firewalls, wireless and load balancing.

Strong Ansible experience, including playbooks, roles, inventories and automation workflows.

Scripting experience with Python, Power Shell or Bash.

Experience with Git, REST APIs, JSON/YAML, Ia C and CI/CD.

Experience supporting on-premises and cloud networking, resilience, high availability and disaster recovery.

Strong troubleshooting, documentation and stakeholder communication skills.

Experience working within ITSM/change-controlled environments.

Desirable AWS, Azure and/or GCP networking experience.

Software Defined Networking (SDN) experience.

Previous experience within highly regulated or security-conscious environments.

Flexibility for occasional out-of-hours work and travel between sites.
