Summer-Browning Associates are currently supporting our Public sector client who are seeking an ICT Trainer on an initial 8 month contract.

Service Location: Dorset (3 days - Hybrid)

You will be responsible for designing and delivering training and development interventions to ensure that the knowledge, understanding, skills, attitudes and behaviour of police officers, staff and other members of the force meet the requirements of the force and deliver its priorities. These posts will focus on the delivery of a range of information technology training programmes and also the development of training programmes through a range of innovative technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and deliver training and development across a variety of information technology strands including office productivity and bespoke or specific Police software such as PNC and NICHE.

The ideal candidate:

  • A recognised training/teaching qualification (e.g., Police Trainer Certificate or equivalent City & Guilds Further Adult Education Certificate, Certificate of Education, Certificate in Training Practice or equivalent NVQ level III in Learning and Development) OR similar extensive relevant experience together with a commitment and potential to achieve such a qualification.
  • Must be IT literate and have knowledge of MS Software, with an innovative approach to using new technologies to deliver learning and development including the use of e-learning, online learning, digital media and immersive learning.
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate learning and understanding into the workplace and to liaise and respond to the needs of the organisation.
  • Must be able to adapt the style of communication to meet the needs of the audience.
  • Must be able to identify training and development needs and design bespoke training and development interventions according to learning methodologies consistent with the Force guidance; to support staff to meet individual and organisational objectives.
  • Must hold a UK driver's licence unless prevented by reason of disability. Reasonable adjustments will be considered.

NB: The successful applicant will be required to undergo NPPV2 vetting before the assignment commences and will need to have resided in the UK for over 3 years.
