Chief Information Security Officer in Glasgow

Salary: £64,000 - 104,000 per year

Requirements

• We are looking for a candidate with Active SC or DV clearance.
• We require a strong background in providing CISO support.
• We need a minimum of 3 years experience in an executive security leadership role, demonstrating strategic impact and operational excellence.
• We are looking for industry experience in a highly regulated environment or within His Majestys Government (HMG).
• We require knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and/or NCSC guidance, as well as security risk management and security architecture.
• Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent are desirable.

We are supporting our public sector client in hiring a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for an initial twelve‑month assignment, with the option to extend. The role is offered on a hybrid basis in East Kilbride, with three days per week onsite. We are seeking someone who can make an immediate impact in a highly sensitive environment, helping us strengthen security, governance, and compliance across the organisation.
