Summer-Browning Associates is currently supporting our defence client, who is seeking a Procurement Manager for an initial 3-month assignment with the option to extend.
Location: Hybrid working - Flintshire
About the Role:
You will be responsible for determining the appropriate commercial strategy for project requirements. Drafting the strategy plans, commercial management plans and facilitating/delivering it or making recommendations for action to Senior Leadership, ensuring all contracts adhere to procurement regulations and Government policy.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience in managing the end-to-end procurement process from pre-sourcing to contract management.
- Experience working within the public sector with public sector regulations (e.g. PCR 2015, UCR 2016, PA 2023).
- Experience in stakeholder and supplier engagement and building positive working relationships.
- Knowledge of ERP Systems (e.g. SAP or Oracle).
- MCIPS / CIPS (Desirable).
