We are establishing an Infrastructure Security Operations function within Technology Infrastructure to respond to regulatory, security, and operational demands. This role leads the creation and execution of a dedicated infrastructure security capability, including vulnerability management, patching, platform hardening, and reporting across all platforms.
The role is accountable for establishing and leading the Infrastructure Security Operations function, executing security controls in line with CISO policies and regulatory expectations. Key responsibilities include:
- Ownership of end‑to‑end vulnerability management
- Defining a risk‑based patching strategy
- Improving remediation cadence
- Working with architecture and engineering teams
- Operating core security technologies
- Building reporting frameworks
- Driving automation
- Ensuring compliance with DORA, ECB, PRA
- Acting as the interface into security
- Contributing to incident response
Proven experience in infrastructure security, vulnerability management, or infrastructure engineering within a complex enterprise environment is required. A strong understanding of infrastructure platforms including compute, virtualisation, storage, and networking is essential. Experience designing and implementing patch management and vulnerability remediation frameworks at scale is necessary, along with a demonstrated ability to operate in regulated environments, ideally within financial services.
Experience working in alignment with a central security/CISO function, executing against defined policies and controls is expected. A track record of improving security posture through measurable reduction in vulnerabilities and improved compliance metrics is important. Experience building or maturing operational functions, including defining processes, governance, and reporting is also required.
