Role Summary: We're looking for an experienced Fixed Income Sales professional to join our EMEA Global Markets division with a focus on UK-based real money accounts and Middle Eastern financial institutions. This role focuses on growing SMBC's Emerging Markets credit franchise across EMEA by developing strong client relationships, particularly with UK real money accounts and hedge funds. The role partners closely with trading and DCM to distribute primary issuance, provide secondary market liquidity, and contribute to sustainable trading P&L.
ESSENTIALS OF THE ROLE
- Build and expand a meaningful EM credit client base across EMEA, with a focus on long-term, profitable relationships.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients by identifying market trends, client needs, and business opportunities, and sharing insights with internal stakeholders.
- Work closely with traders, DCM, Risk, and Compliance to support primary transactions and effective secondary market execution.
REQUIREMENTS
- 7 years' experience with a strong understanding of global Emerging Markets credit and macroeconomic dynamics.
- Proven ability to establish credibility and trusted relationships with portfolio managers, traders, and senior stakeholders.
