The Analytics Governance Domain Lead is a new role being established that will help to build out our Analytics Governance Capability within the Data Analytics Team, one of six functions within the EMEA Data Office. One of our key transformation initiatives is a multi‑year programme to ensure compliance with Basel Committee on Banking Supervision’s Standard #239 (BCBS239 – Principles for effective risk data aggregation and risk reporting). This global program of work covers several Technology and Data Workstreams and is particularly important to SMBC EMEA which is expected to be subject to ECB Onboarding from FY27 onwards.
This role will provide leadership and guidance to business teams in ensuring that their Key Data Uses (KDUs) and Key Metrics meet the minimum requirements of our Analytics Governance frameworks, policies, rules and procedures to achieve our goal of material compliance with BCBS239 principles. This role will act as a bridge across Business, Data and IT teams to improve the governance of the.
