I am currently recruiting on behalf of a Luxury Automotive OEM based in Gaydon who are seeking a Vehicle Technician to join their team on a long term rolling contract.
Job Description:
- Completion of Work Requests (OUV/FMS - Job cards including Initial Vehicle Inspections (IVI's) in a timely manner and to the required quality standard.
- Identification and accurate description of major / minor build and quality issues found during vehicle inspections and drive assessments.
- Understanding and accurate application of all workshop procedures including Safety procedures.
- Assembly / replacement / repair of electrical & mechanical systems and components as applicable.
- Diagnose / trace faults, rectify and validate issues.
- Read and interpret harness drawings / repair instructions (Topix) and liaise with engineering departments.
What You'll Need:
- Must have an indentured/ modern apprenticeship in relevant discipline (Automotive Electrical / Mechanical) or minimum equivalent Level 3 national recognised qualification and provide documented evidence.
- Strong technical knowledge of vehicle assembly / rectification (Electrical & Mechanical).
- Knowledge of vehicle servicing / maintenance.
- Previous experience of interpreting harness drawings.
