Overview

The Accounting Manager will oversee the company’s financial and closing‑of‑books operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with UK GAAP/IFRS. The role involves managing day‑to‑day accounting operations, tax compliance, and providing financial analysis to support strategic decision‑making.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end closing processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Review monthly financial and management reporting.
  • Monitor day‑to‑day financial operations such as invoicing, payment, and other transactions.
  • Manage local statutory accounting and tax filings (Corporate Income Tax, Consumption Tax).
  • Adhere to financial regulations and legislation.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting staff.
  • Act as primary point of contact for external auditors and tax advisors.
  • Streamline accounting processes, enhance internal controls, and implement system improvements.
  • Maintain control environment (monthly balance sheet reconciliations).
