The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
This position will require long‑term skill training after joining us. The training will last a maximum of 6 months at our mother factory in Japan. The salary package will be an annual salary at the start of employment; once the new facility is operational, remuneration will be based on work shifts.
Role Purpose
Carrying out cable tests and providing training to other operators.
Key Accountabilities
- Setting up test equipment and systems for actual testing.
- Carrying out tests.
- Ensuring accuracy control of testing equipment.
- Planning, instructing, and documenting tests (electrical & physical characteristics, outer inspection, etc.).
- Creating test records, checking them, and evaluating.
- Preparing and documenting testing (inspection) reports.
- Attending external calibration and testing activity.
- Monitoring status of warranted calibrations of test equipment.
- Assessing calibration plan of test equipment.
- Regularly monitoring status and condition of test equipment.
- Ensuring system processes comply with ISO 9001 standards.
- Documenting test procedures together with engineers.
- Following compliance of general safety rules.
- Creating required safety measures for specific areas.
Preferred Knowledge / Skills / Experience Required
- Ability to organize testing plans and procedures.
- Supervisory skills pertaining to the field.
- Capability of handling multitasks or activities.

- Experience using electrical and power cable test instruments.
- Experience in manufacturing EH & EHV power cables.
- Knowledge of international standards concerning power cables.
- UK forklift driving licence.
- Crane operation experience.
