SUMITOMO ELECTRIC U.K. POWER CABLES LTD. is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to support the delivery of the Sea Link HVDC Interconnector project. The role will be responsible for the commercial and contractual management of the offshore cable transport and installation (T&I) sub‑contract. Working closely with the Offshore Project Manager and wider project team, the Contract Manager will manage contractual interfaces with offshore contractors and support execution of marine installation works. The role requires strong offshore cable installation contract experience within a multi‑contractor EPC environment. Location preferred in Glasgow but open to hybrid (UK) with periodic project travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Contract Administration
- Lead administration of the offshore cable T&I sub‑contract.
- Manage contractual correspondence and notices.
- Advise on contractual rights and obligations.
- Maintain auditable contract records.
- Claims and Variations Management
- Manage claims, EOTs and variations.
- Assess entitlement, quantum and programme impact.
- Ensure timely notices and submissions.
- Support dispute resolution.
- Offshore T&I Contract Management
- Act as contractual focal point for offshore cable T&I sub‑contract.
- Monitor contractor performance.
- Align contract with delivery strategy.
- Commercial Risk Management
- Identify and manage risks.

About Our Project – Port Of Nigg, Highland
Sumitomo Electric is one of the leading global manufacturers of state‑of‑the‑art high‑end electricity transmission cables, up to and including 525kV HVDC cable.
