Position at SUMITOMO ELECTRIC U.K. POWER CABLES LTD.
This position will be required to take long-term skill training after joining us. The training will be maximum 6 months in our mother factory in Japan. The salary package will be an annual salary at the start of employment, but once the new facility is operational, the salary structure will be based on work shifts.
Role Purpose
Carrying out cable tests and education for other operators, making plans, instructions, and documentation for the tests.
Key Accountabilities
- Setting up test equipment and systems for actual testing
- Carrying out tests
- Accuracy control of testing equipment
- Planning, instructions and documentation of tests (electrical & physical characteristics, outer inspection etc.)
- Create test record, checking the record, and evaluation
- Preparation and documentation of testing (inspection) reports
- Attending to external calibration and testing activity
- Monitoring status of warranted calibrations of test equipment
- Assesses calibration plan of test equipment
- Regularly monitors status condition of test equipment
- Ensuring system processes to ISO 9001 standards
- Documentation of test procedures together with engineers
- Following compliance of general safety rules
- Creating required safety measures to specific areas
Preferred Knowledge / Skills / Experience

- Experienced in manufacturing of EH & EHV power cable
