The Innovation Technician role is a fantastic opportunity to work at the heart of Innovation, supporting Test Engineers and Product Development Engineers on new and existing VFD technology development, validation and certification. Reporting directly to the Test & Validation Manager, you will play a key role in product validation with key responsibilities that include:
- Independent type testing of new and existing VFD technology within the IDL portfolio.
- Testing is broad and varied, with particular focus on EMC; Electrical, Thermal and Mechanical Safety; and Functionality verification.
- Delivery of high-quality Technical documentation.
- Working closely with the Validation Engineering team to deliver projects in accordance with commercial deadlines.
- Troubleshooting product failures or issues found down to component level.
- Supporting Validation Engineers with external testing - domestic and international (where required).
- Collaboration and interface with the wider Innovation department to facilitate product certification, validation of CAD models and parts/component, simulation and firmware verification - and assist with new product integration.
- Collaboration and interface with the wider business to support requests for data both internally and from our customer base.
